The Confederation of European Community Cigarette Manufacturers (CECCM) is the largest European cigarette manufacturers association. It is a non-commercial association which represents the common views on regulations of major European-based cigarette manufacturers. CECCM has a long and well established tradition of constructive dialogue with policy makers and civil society across the EU. CECCM serves as a platform for exchanging views and discussing European regulatory developments which enables its members to define balanced common positions and present them to the European institutions and other stakeholders.
CECCM is the primary source of tobacco expertise in the EU and offers access to the three member companies’ combined experience and expertise, covering a wide range of tobacco and non-tobacco related subjects.
CECCM also serves as the coordinating body for twelve Associate members which are national tobacco or cigarette manufacturers’ associations (NMAs) present in 13 EU member states:
CECCM has also two Observer members: R.J. Reynolds and GITES (Groupement des Industries Européennes du Tabac which represents small and medium size tobacco products manufacturers in Europe).
Both the Associate and Observer members are involved in some of the CECCM activities.
